The Corozo Nut Buttons Collection

Corozo nut buttons are made from the corozo or tagua nut from South America. Corozo is sometimes referred to as “vegetable ivory” due to its semi-transparent, off-white color. Corozo has a natural grain like wood which is enhanced when dyed. It is sometimes finished with a high polish which makes the grain more apparent or with a soft matte finish. The material is porous and has the feel of semi-soft plastic but is very durable and scratch-resistant.
